It’s that time of the year again when we hopefully(!) get money back after doing taxes. Sure, you can put the money you get towards any debt, into your savings, house improvements or college school funds, but you can also spend a little on some big ticket items you’ve been eyeing. (Though those first few mentioned proooobably take priority;) But hey, health is also important and you should always invest in it. If you want a little inspiration on how you can spend your tax refund, take a look at the suggestions below.

1. Fitness Classes or Gym Membership

Use your money to buy a gym membership or package of classes at your favorite Pilates or Barre studio. Many specialty gyms and fitness studios will let you pre-pay a set of classes or days, and some will offer a discount for doing so. If your gym doesn’t allow it, just set a little aside and use it to pay your membership fee every month.

2. A Trainer or Coach

Want to get a jumpstart on reaching those fitness goals? Invest in a package of sessions with a trainer who can teach you the ways of the gym, and also give you pro tips on nutrition. Sessions can be pretty expensive, but if you have the extra dough, they can be incredibly eye opening and send you off in the right direction.

3. Equipment for your Home Gym

If you’re slowly but surely perfecting your home gym, part of your tax refund can be a great way to finally buy that big piece of equipment you’ve been eyeing. Perhaps a set of awesome dumbbells or a fancy treadmill. Are you good at multitasking? You could even spring for a treadmill desk! More of an outdoors person? Get out and about with a new bike.

4. Apple Watch

An Apple Watch could be an investment that helps you out in many aspects in your life. There are a ton of apps that you can connect to an Apple Watch that can help you trim up and get healthier. Use a water app to remind you to drink water throughout the day. You can also connect it with a digital smart scale that lets you track weight and body fat percentage, among other things!
